Denny Sumargo Hopes for the Best Peace for All Parties Involved in the Donation Money Controversy of Agus Salim

His presence at the meeting held at Gedung Djoeang, Jakarta, on Friday (15/11/2024) aimed to support reconciliation efforts. Denny emphasized that his presence at the event was solely to assist with the documentation of the event through his personal YouTube channel. He rejected the notion that he was a mediator or decision-maker in the meeting.

"So today can happen because of the good intentions from Novi and friends. I am here just as a guest, not a host. I am only helping with the broadcasting," he explained.

The man commonly known as Densu asserted that he did not want to get further involved in the conflict regarding donations between Agus Salim and Pratiwi Noviyanthi. He chose to remain neutral and not take sides.

"I am not getting involved," Denny stated firmly.

This case emerged when Agus Salim, the victim of a acid attack, reported Pratiwi Noviyanthi to the authorities. The conflict began from allegations of misappropriation of donation funds amounting to IDR 1.5 billion raised by Pratiwi through netizens to assist Agus's medical treatment.

Pratiwi had previously accused Agus's wife of using the donation money for purposes other than its original intent. Some of the funds were allegedly distributed to Agus's family members, rather than for the medical expenses as they should have been.

The donation money that became the source of this issue was known to have been successfully collected thanks to Pratiwi's initiative and the support of netizens. Now, great hopes are placed on this meeting to find a peaceful resolution to the long-standing dispute.
