The son of renowned Indonesian dangdut singer Iis Dahlia, Devano Danendra, recently expressed his feelings as the child of a public figure. He feels quite pressured because he is always the target of netizens' criticism due to controversies caused by his mother.

Every child experiences different family problems. As a child, it is not easy to express what they are going through. As a result, doing something considered unusual may be one way to reduce the pain.

"According to me, tattooing is something fun compared to hurting others, you know. Tattooing is the most enjoyable pain," said Devano in a post on Kemal Palevi's TikTok account on Sunday (26/05).

2. Harming Oneself Frequently

It is indeed not easy to endure constant anxiety. Devano's bizarre actions turned out to be a result of the cruelty of the entertainment world.

Devano continued, "Back then, I was really stressed. I used to frequently harm myself by cutting, and all that. Tattooing is the reason why I'm still here... Instead of cutting, tattooing is better because it feels the same."

When asked by Kemal Palevi about the reasons behind his stress, former girlfriend Naura Ayu explained that family is one of the causes.

“Yes, it's... Family and all that. Actually, it's a long story.”

Kemal added, “His stress comes from his mother's behavior (Iis Dahlia). And then it gets amplified in society. Oh, to that extent...”

4. Afraid to Talk to People

Having a famous mother, Iis Dahlia, makes Devano feel that it burdens his career as a singer and actor. In his circle of friends, he becomes introverted.

“I became quite introverted. I feel embarrassed.” Devano explained.

“There was a time when I didn't want to talk to people. I was afraid that if I talked to them, they would talk about it, you know. Or they would judge me like that, right?” he added.

After listening to Devano's explanation, Kemal asked what made Devano able to rise from the adversity. Devano revealed that tattoos were not the reason for his perseverance.

"Tattoos are something I do after I feel relaxed..." he said.

Devano stated, "Actually, until now, I don't really know what made me rise. But it's probably because I've always liked writing. Whatever I achieve in my feelings, I write everything in a journal until it eventually becomes a song. And that's one of the reasons why I rise because of music."
