Dewi Perssik Reveals Her Son's Growing Maturity Since Joining the Military

Dewi Perssik expressed her pride in seeing the development of her son, Felice Gabriel, who is currently pursuing education at the Military Academy. According to Depe, the disciplined education her child is undergoing has brought significant changes to Gabriel's character and daily attitude.

The singer of the song Mimpi Manis realizes that her son is now much more mature than before. Although Gabriel's basic nature is that of an introvert, the calmness he now shows brings a unique peace to his mother.

"More silence. More and more silence, and he used to be a quiet child, could only hug and cry. Now he is more silent but he calms the heart. So he is more mature," said Dewi Perssik when met at Plataran Senayan, Monday (16/2/2026).

As a parent, Depe does not deny the feeling of worry when letting her child live far away in a military dormitory. However, she chooses to be sincere and entrust her son's future to the education system there.

"The worries are definitely there, but half of my child's life has been for the country. So I lean towards sincerity and just pray more for my child. So I don't have to be overly worried, scared, or anything like that," she said.

Dewi Perssik believes that the education from senior military members will shape her child's knightly character. She hopes Gabriel can grow into a strong figure with a fighter's mentality to face future life challenges.

"I have surrendered, I trust the senior siblings who can educate him so that he becomes a knight with a true fighting spirit," she emphasized.

Depe also feels that all her hard work and efforts have been fully rewarded when she sees her child successfully enter state service education. She feels proud because Gabriel chose this path on his own without any coercion.

"The fatigue of being a mother is rewarded with pride. That reward is, masya Allah, my child is obedient and compliant. Because the mother really wants her child to serve the state. Whether in the police or in the military, coincidentally her child wants to be in the military," concluded Dewi Perssik.
