The dangdut singer Dewi Perssik is filled with happiness as she welcomes this holy month of Ramadan. This happiness feels special because her only son, Felice Gabriel, who is currently undergoing military training, is scheduled to come home to celebrate the beginning of fasting together.

The woman affectionately known as Depe admits she has prepared various things to welcome her son's arrival. For her, this moment at the beginning of Ramadan must be spent with quality time together without excessive work distractions.

"My child is coming home tomorrow, so he only has three days for the weekend, right? It's called a cruise? Three days, but after that five days, then back again. So I have prepared what delicious food to cook, because I really want to be with my child. This is my first day with my son," said Dewi Perssik when met at Plataran Senayan, Monday (16/2/2026).

As a mother, Dewi Perssik wants to dedicate all her attention to her child. She has even planned to cook her son Gabriel's favorite dishes so that the first sahur and iftar moments feel more special.

"You know, my love has been fully given to my child. So I want to do my best for my child. So cooking for my child, preparing everything. Yesterday during the weekend we video called, 'Mom, what do you want to cook?' 'Mama just wants to make sambal,' because he really likes mama's sambal," she explained.

Even though the Eid al-Fitr holiday is still quite a while away, it turns out that the son already has a special request regarding the food menu. Depe is happily going to fulfill her child's wish for that home-cooked meal.

"On the first day, yes, I swear on the first day, yes. He definitely wants opor and mama's sambal. Even though it’s not Eid yet, he already wants to eat opor, he said. Well, I will make it later," she said.

Although she has a busy schedule as a public figure, Depe emphasizes that on the first day of fasting, she does not want to be disturbed by other matters. She wants to focus on giving her best time to her child who has served the country.
