Dilapidated Building, Diding Boneng's House Collapses Due to Heavy Rain

Diding Boneng recounted that when the disaster occurred, he was not at home because he had matters to attend to outside. He only learned about the incident when he was on his way home and found his house reduced to rubble.

The sobs of his younger siblings greeted Diding's arrival, who was still confused by the situation he had just experienced."So what happened is that I don't know exactly when it occurred. I was outside, you see. So when I got home, it had been about 20 minutes since the incident. I really don't know for sure. My younger siblings were already crying by the time I arrived," said Diding Boneng, Tuesday (30/12/2025).

This disaster nearly claimed a life, specifically that of Diding's biological child who was resting in the room at the time. The tension peaked when the child heard strange noises from the ceiling before the building completely collapsed.

Fortunately, his instinct for self-preservation worked quickly, allowing him to escape just in time."My child was sleeping, and almost got crushed. Because he felt something strange, like what is that noise above, crackling. He got suspicious and ran outside. As soon as he ran outside, it fell," said Diding.

Although the Jakarta area was drenched with rain in the afternoon, Diding emphasized that the house collapse did not occur during the storm. He estimated that the building's structure, which was no longer in good condition, was the main factor causing this disaster.

The condition of the house he occupied was indeed quite concerning, he admitted."It was after the rain, so it wasn't during the rain. It was fine during the rain. I was still there when it was raining," Diding added in a soft tone.

This senior comedian does not deny that his negligence in monitoring the physical condition of his house has become one of the triggers. He feels very devastated because he allowed the building he has lived in for years to suffer decay without any adequate repair efforts before it was too late.

"As for me, this house has indeed been decayed for a long time and has never been upgraded. Well, maybe this is the final point of its decay. It's my fault. Why was I too relaxed? Honestly, I admit I was wrong," concluded Diding Boneng.
