Disturbing! Besides Nadin Amizah, These 5 Celebrities Have Experienced Sexual Harassment

The singer of RAYUAN PEREMPUAN GILA, Nadin Amizah, experienced sexual harassment after her performance in Ciwalk area, Bandung on Sunday (24/9/2023). Nadin experienced this bitter experience from her own fans who flocked to take photos and even touch her body. In her Instagram story post on her personal account @cakecaine, Nadin revealed that her breasts were touched by fans who surrounded her.

In her post on her personal Instagram account, Nadin explained that she experienced this incident when the venue was very crowded and uncontrollable. 

"Maybe those people didn't mean to do it because the situation was chaotic, but if it's already that crowded, please PLEASE PLEASE don't fight to touch my body? For what?! I'm also a human being? It's so dehumanizing to be GROPED here and there just because what, I'm a singer?." she wrote.

Sadly, this harassment incident is not the first one experienced by Nadin. Although she is often touched by fans who are also women, Nadin still feels uncomfortable when her body is touched without her consent. In response to this, Nadin firmly stated through her personal Instagram account, "Never touch my body under any circumstances, unless there is consent. I beg you." she said.

Until today, cases of sexual harassment in Indonesia have not shown any signs of decline. The entertainment industry is also not immune from these disturbing cases, celebrities often become victims of sexual harassment. Besides Nadin Amizah, here are a series of celebrities who have experienced sexual harassment.

1. Marion Jola

Marion Jola, a singer who skyrocketed since participating in the talent search event Indonesian Idol season 9, also experienced sexual harassment. This sweet girl with dark skin even released a song titled DON'T TOUCH ME as a collaboration with other singers who also experienced harassment, namely Danilla Riyadi and Ramengvrl.

The singer of the song TAK INGIN PISAH LAGI shared her bitter experience when she was still in school. Not only friends, even her school teacher became a perpetrator of harassment. Sadly, Marion Jola received such inappropriate treatment when she was very young, during Elementary School. 

2. Widi Vierratale

Widi Vierratale experienced sexual harassment in 2011 that occurred at night after she exercised. While walking home, Widi was approached by a car that told her to get in. The car was filled with many men, making it difficult for her to escape. Fortunately, Widi managed to survive when she revealed her identity as the vocalist of Vierratale.

In a podcast with Deddy Corbuzier (23/6/2022), Widi revealed that she was able to survive that day because of the tattoo on her hand, "I tried to resist while struggling to call (my ex). After I was picked up, I told them who I was, and luckily they knew that Widi Vierra has a tattoo," she said.

Her status as the vocalist of a famous group saved her in that bitter incident. However, Widi is not immune to worry if only an ordinary girl becomes the victim.

3. Pradikta Wicaksono

Another vocalist who experienced harassment is Pradikta Wicaksono, the vocalist of Yovie & Nuno. The singer, who is admired by many women, experienced sexual harassment, and a video of the incident went viral on social media.

In the video, Dikta can be seen grimacing in pain, allegedly caused by a fan touching his genitals after he performed at Anjungan Sarinah. At the time of the incident, the audience crowded towards Dikta, causing an uncontrollable situation. Dikta is seen enduring the pain while squatting after the harassment he experienced.

Unfortunately, Dikta received verbal harassment in the form of comments from netizens on his viral video. According to Liputan6.com, at that time, the bitter incident he experienced was turned into jokes by netizens, linking his genitals to the viral game lato-lato.

4. Dewi Perssik

Singer Dewi Perssik, also known as Depe, experienced sexual harassment during an interview in 2008. A stranger intentionally touched Depe's breast, prompting her to retaliate by hitting the man.

Unfortunately, the judge of Dangdut Academy also experienced another incident of harassment that was not captured on camera. While performing on stage, she became a victim of harassment. Depe even experienced trauma being near the audience while performing.

5. Jessica Iskandar

Mother of El Barack, Jessica Iskandar, also experienced sexual harassment in a salon located in Casablanca Mall, South Jakarta. She experienced this bitter incident while undergoing a creambath treatment handled by one of the salon workers.

The perpetrator peeked at Jessica's breast and even took her picture. Jessica followed up on the incident by reporting it to the authorities and accusing the perpetrator of harassment towards decency at the SPKT Polda Metro Jaya.

"There was a violation of decency, so when I was getting a creambath, Najib took a picture without permission Jessica. So he took a picture. We don't know the exact details of the incident, we weren't paying attention to the chronological sequence," said Myra, the salon's PR, on Wednesday (25/2/2015).
