Doll Baby Receives Pro and Con, Ivan Gunawan Asserts Not a Devil's Child

However, Ivan Gunawan's behavior of treating the dolls as his children has received mixed reactions. Responding to various comments from the public, Ivan Gunawan asserts that 'his child' is not a devil's child or demon.

"(Now) I am calmer, happier, and I want to say it again because this is infotainment, that my child is not a devil's child. It has nothing to do with demons, jinns, or anything like that because I didn't adopt. Because I got him from Ruben (Onsu)," said Ivan Gunawan in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Monday (3/1).

Ivan Gunawan said that every person has their own way of treating something they like. Like what he is currently doing to his 'children'. According to him, there are also many people who like to chat with their cars and motorcycles, which are his beloved possessions.

"Even though everyone knows they are dolls, but everyone has their own way of treating something they like, something they love. Maybe there are also people who like to talk to their cars, like to talk to their motorcycles. So maybe it's not just me who's crazy. Well, because in my opinion, he's not a doll," he explained.

"Why is it becoming a big deal, it's up to him. They concluded it themselves. As for me, I don't feel like there's anything inside it, I don't feel like I'm raising a demon, raising a devil, raising the Antichrist. So it's something I like," Ivan Gunawan continued.

In addition, Ivan Gunawan also added that what he is currently doing is to stay creative as an artist.

"Being an artist, a designer like me, if our lives are too normal, we won't be creative. So, an artist must have a bit of craziness in order to be creative, to come up with new ideas. That's how I am," he concluded.

Netizens repeatedly asked Igun why he chose to take care of dolls instead of adopting a real child. The 39-year-old man has his own opinion.

"I'm not unwilling to adopt a child, but it all depends on our readiness. Because taking care of a living child is a heavy responsibility, our hearts must truly love them," he explained.

5. Possibility of Adoption

Although it is not currently being considered, Ivan Gunawan admits that he does not rule out the possibility of adopting a child in the future.

"Maybe someday in the future, I don't know. But for now, I haven't thought about it at all (adopting a child)," said the artist who is often rumored to have a relationship with Ayu Ting Ting.
