The departure of Donny Fattah has left a deep sorrow for his family, especially for his son, Iman Fattah. For Iman, his father was not just a parent, but an extraordinary role model, both as a head of the family and as a great artist.

Iman expressed his gratitude for being born as the child of a rock music legend in Indonesia. He saw another side of his father that was very humble and inspirational, which may not be widely known by the public.

"Wow, there are so many things. There are no words other than I am one of the lucky people to be his child. Because Dad is a very humble person, kind, and as an artist, he is, what can I say, my role model," said Iman Fattah when met by the KapanLagi.com team after the funeral at TPU Kampung Kandang, Ciganjur, South Jakarta, Saturday (07/03/2026).

Donny, as a highly dedicated musician, has a significant influence on Iman, who also follows in his father's footsteps in the music world.

However, Iman emphasizes that his father never forced him to become a musician. It all happened naturally because he saw the exemplary behavior shown by Donny.

"But he never said 'you have to be a musician' or anything like that. But because he continued on his path, I also saw that he was consistent in his journey. That’s what makes me feel quite a big loss actually," explained Iman.

One of the greatest legacies that Donny left for Iman is consistency and idealism in creating art. Iman learned from his father to remain steadfast in his principles and to bravely face all the challenges that lie ahead.

"Yes, that’s actually consistency and the idealism that is truly unmatched. So whatever happens in front, challenges of all kinds, just face it like that," he added.

Donny's passion for music is seen by Iman not as a matter of coercion or mere ambition, but as a calling to contribute and provide value through his work. This is what keeps God Bless's music alive and appreciated by many people to this day.

"So dedicating it actually comes from within himself. So he doesn't say 'I want to live for music' like that, no. But because he sees that he can give value, yes, he can contribute," Iman concluded while reminiscing about his father.
