Egy Maulana Vikri Injured, Umi Pipik Reveals Latest Condition of the Son-in-Law

Egy Maulana Vikri suffered a leg injury while playing with Dewa United. Due to the injury, Adiba Khanza's husband has to rest for several days before returning to the field.

Umi Pipik reported that Egy's condition is now better. She mentioned that the doctor has advised Egy not to play for a few days to allow the injury to heal. Here are the details!

"Alhamdulillah he can walk now, that's why he was advised to take three days off and not play because he was really injured. He scored a goal, but then fell and his leg got really swollen," said Umi Pipik when met at Balai Kartini, South Jakarta, Sunday (9/3/2025).   "So the doctor advised him not to do this for now. In the end, he rarely even invites my youngest child to play," she added.

During the recovery period, Egy spent more time at home. In fact, he started inviting Umi Pipik's youngest child to play soccer.   "So, later we will train, he said, so that he can become a soccer player who spreads the message, Egi said that," he said.

Umi Pipik reminded Egy not to tempt his child too much to play soccer. She wants her child to stay focused on education.   "That's enough, don't encourage him too much, you just be the soccer player," she said.

According to Umi Pipik, her child still needs to finish education abroad. She is worried that if he gets too busy playing soccer, he will be reluctant to return to school.

"Well, let my son-in-law handle it. I mean, let him focus on studying first because, you know, he will return after Eid. I'm afraid he will get too caught up in playing football and won't want to come back to Tarim. He won't want to pursue knowledge anymore. He still has one more year, right?" he explained.

Egy is currently on the list of players for the Indonesian national team who will compete against Bahrain and other teams. However, there is still no certainty whether he will be fielded in that match.

"Hopefully he plays. Because it's the national team that decides, not the players who decide whether they play or not. So, if he plays, alhamdulillah, but I see Egi's performance is already very good," he said.

Umi Pipik admitted that she does not yet know whether Egy will really play for the Indonesian national team in the near future.

"I don't know if he will play for the national team or not, whether he will be chosen or not, usually it depends more on the international players, right?" she concluded.
