The grand stage of the Indonesian Film Festival (FFI) 2025 held at Taman Ismail Marzuki, Central Jakarta, witnessed an emotional yet joyful moment for senior actor El Manik. During the peak night of the highest cinema appreciation in the country, this Batak blooded man was crowned as the recipient of a special award, namely the Lifetime Achievement Award.

This prestigious award was not only given to El Manik. The FFI 2025 committee also paid similar tribute to two other important figures in Indonesian cinema, namely Franki Raden and Hendrik Gozali. The three of them are considered to have dedicated their lives and careers to the advancement of the national film industry for decades.

However, there is something that makes this moment feel much more special for the person with the full name Iman Emmanuel Manik. The festive award night coincided with his birthday. The emotional atmosphere was unavoidable when the legendary actor took the stage to receive the trophy.

In his victory speech, the actor who has starred in dozens of films since the 1970s did not forget to express his deep gratitude to his loved ones.
