As reported by YouTube VDVC Talk on Wednesday (29/6/2022), Elly mentioned that she had experienced a difficult life, even becoming an overseas Indonesian worker (TKW) at that time.
"I used to have a very difficult life, I didn't even have children. It was before I became an artist. I even became an overseas Indonesian worker (TKW), once," she said.
Even at that time, she even had the desire to sell her kidney in order to get money to survive.
At that time, there was someone who was willing to buy Elly's kidney for a large sum of money, which is 100 million rupiah. "I even wanted to sell my kidney, got 100 million rupiah," she continued.
Apparently, Elly's intention to donate her kidney was abandoned after hearing advice from someone she met at the hospital.
"When I was about to go to the hospital, someone advised me 'ma'am, don't do it, later you won't be able to work with one kidney'. I cried confused about what to do," she said.
It was actually from there that her career began. After returning from the hospital, Elly Sugigi was invited by her eldest child to become a paid audience member, which turned out to skyrocket her career as it is now.
"Ulfi invited me to join the 'Gong Show', but it was closed. I didn't have the fare to go home. Finally, I was offered to watch lenong, offered Rp15 thousand," she concluded. That was the beginning of Elly Sugigi's career becoming known as it is now.
