Memories of Nia Ramadhani with Her Grandmother, from Casting Days to End-of-Life Preparations
Nia Ramadhani shares memories with her grandmother during her lifetime, from the casting days to end-of-life preparations.
Kapanlagi.com - Nia Ramadhani is in mourning over the loss of her beloved grandmother, Hanna Louise Poluan, who passed away on Friday (24/1/2025). The grandmother left many meaningful messages for the family that serve as significant guidance in life.
"There are many messages from Oma, messages that I believe all come from God, and Oma always said thank you for the help," said Nia Ramadhani when met at the Sentosa Funeral Home, Central Jakarta, Saturday (25/1/2025).
Nia revealed that her grandmother often reminded her family to always be humble and not arrogant about what they have. This message, according to Nia, serves as an important reminder in living life.
"Remember, we should never feel like we own what we help with; it’s not ours. If we feel arrogant, everything will surely be taken away," explained the mother of three with deep emotion.
For Nia, her grandmother was a wise figure filled with gratitude. Hanna Louise Poluan always taught that everything humans have, whether happiness or sadness, is merely a temporary gift from God.
"So, whatever happens to Oma, it’s all from God. Everything is just temporary," added Nia.
Nia feels grateful because she was able to give her full attention to her grandmother during her illness until she finally passed away. She also mentioned that the blessings she has had all this time are the result of her grandmother's prayers.
"Alhamdulillah we were given an event like this. We are also grateful to be able to use the blessings given by God to help Oma. Because I believe, the blessings received are the result of Oma's prayers," said Ardi Bakrie's wife.
In addition to being a caring grandmother, Hanna Louise Poluan also played a significant role in helping Nia manage her family. Nia recounted that all this time, her grandmother often became a place for her to entrust her children, especially when she was busy.
"With Mikhaila earlier here, I was almost fainting because when Oma was in Jakarta, I was often away, so I would leave the kids with Mama and Oma. My second child also from birth didn’t have a nurse, she was left with Oma. Mama was taking care of her body and exercising, so she was entrusted to Oma," recalled Nia with teary eyes.
This story shows how significant Hanna Louise Poluan's role was in Nia and her family's life. Her departure not only leaves a profound sorrow but also valuable life lessons that will always be remembered by her children and grandchildren.
