Epy Kusnandar Admits to Opening a Food Stall in Kalibata Apartment Cafeteria to Pay Off Debt

Kapanlagi.com - Actor Epy Kusnandar went viral on social media for opening a food stall in the Kalibata apartment canteen, South Jakarta. The Preman Pensiun soap opera actor shared the story of how he started the food stall named Warung Sambal Dadak Ayam Keramas.

Epy said that he opened the stall in the Kalibata apartment canteen to pay off his debt to his wife, Karina Ranau. He admitted that Karina Ranau also helped him when he was sick with brain cancer.

"To pay off the debt, I paid it off to my wife. When I was sick, there were a lot of expenses, so now I'm collecting money again to redeem the lost farm," said Epy Kusnandar when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (30/1/2024).

1. Rarely Filming

For Epy, this is one way to pay off his debt to his wife. Moreover, Epy Kusnandar himself admitted that he rarely gets shooting jobs nowadays.

"I have to do whatever it takes, because shooting is rare now. I have to do anything. Since I still have connections, I have to change my focus and start a small business," he said.

Meanwhile, Epy Kusnandar's wife, Karina Ranau, expressed her happiness seeing her husband directly selling at the food stall.

"I'm happy to see it because it's very supportive of our business. It all started from the sincerity of our sales and supporting each other," said Karina Ranau.

2. Not Ashamed

Not only that, Karina Ranau also does not feel ashamed to see her husband selling in a stall even though he is known as a famous artist. Moreover, the work done by her husband is halal and does not harm others.

"No. If we steal, we disturb people, then that's embarrassing. But if we do everything from the bottom of our hearts, we can do everything correctly, even if it's a little, as long as it's halal and blessed," she concluded.
