Epy Kusnandar Grateful to Sell at a Food Stall to Pay Debts

Kapanlagi.com - Actor Epy Kusnandar opened a food stall in the Kalibata apartment. The star of the soap opera PREMAN PENSIUN admitted that he did it to pay off his debt to his wife, Karina Ranau. Epy said that Karina Ranau also helped with the medical expenses while he was suffering from brain cancer.

"To pay off the debt, I pay it to my wife. When I was sick, there were a lot of expenses. Now I'm saving up again to redeem the lost farm," said Epy Kusnandar when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (30/1/2024).

"I'm selling two plots of land, I'm saving money to pay off her parents' debt," added Epy Kusnandar.

1. Many Ridicules

Although Epy Kusnandar received support from his close friends after deciding to sell in a stall, he admitted that there were also ridicules and condescending views because as an actor he sells in a food stall.

"There are various types, there are those who mock and insult, belittle, but there are also many who support. So I just accept it, whatever people's opinions are," he said.

However, Epy Kusnandar remains grateful and maintains his spirit in living as a food seller in the Kalibata apartment canteen, South Jakarta.

"Just accept and be grateful, don't lose spirit, fight, work hard, God willing, you will get a fair reward," he said.

2. Not Ashamed

Meanwhile, Epy Kusnandar's wife, Karina Ranau, revealed that she does not feel ashamed seeing her husband selling in a stall. According to her, the most important thing is that her husband's job is halal (permissible) and does not harm others.

"If we steal, we bother others and that's embarrassing. But if we work sincerely from the bottom of our hearts, we can do everything right, even if it's a little, as long as it's halal and blessed," said Karina.

"Just stay motivated. Fortune is determined by the Almighty. The important thing is to be healthy and happy," concluded Karina.
