The star of SUGAR FACTORY Erika Carlina finally revealed the reason behind the end of her romantic relationship with former CJR member Aldy Maldini in 2019. Although they had a fairly serious relationship, Erika admitted that she was the one who decided to end it.
As is known, Aldy Maldini is currently entangled in a fraud case. He is accused of committing fraud by inviting his fans to dinner for a fee of Rp 500,000 per person.
This fraud allegation came to light after several fans reported failing to receive confirmation for the dinner schedule, even weeks after making the payment. Aldy has apologized and promised to take responsibility.
At that time, Erika mentioned that the significant age difference was one of the triggering factors for the breakdown of their relationship. At that point, Erika was much more mature compared to Aldy.
"I am eight years older than him. He captured my heart at that time, he was very humorous, which is my weakness. Initially, I was cold and indifferent, but eventually, this person became very noisy," Erika revealed in a podcast hosted by Praz Teguh.
Although she felt comfortable with Aldy's humorous nature, Erika assessed that their relationship did not have a clear direction towards a more serious stage.
"The one who decided to end it was me, because at that time I was thinking about where the relationship was going. He still has a long career ahead of him, and he's still young. It seems that if I think about moving to a serious stage... it doesn't mean I want to rush into marriage, but I just want something more certain," she said.
In addition, Erika also admitted that their relationship was often filled with small arguments. She feels that although sometimes Aldy can act mature, he is still too young to be in a more serious relationship.
"We still fight often. Sometimes he is more mature, but he was around 19 years old when he was dating me," she concluded.
