1. Suspected Assistance from TNI Member

Kapendam Jaya Colonel Arh Herwin stated that Rachel Vennya is suspected to have been assisted by a TNI member with the initials FS. The member is assigned to the Security Task Force at the Airport.

"He is the one who arranged for Selebgram Rachel Vennya to avoid the quarantine procedures that must be followed after traveling from abroad," he said in a written statement on Wednesday (13/10).

The Covid-19 Handling Task Force is currently investigating the alleged escape of Selebgram Rachel Vennya from the Covid-19 Emergency Hospital (RSDC) Wisma Atlet Pademangan. Rachel Vennya is reported to have only undergone a 3 x 24-hour quarantine. Whereas, Rachel Vennya should have undergone an 8 x 24-hour quarantine period according to the provisions issued by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force.

2. Pangdam Jaya Gives Firm Orders

Herwin revealed that Pangdam Jaya as Pangkogasgabpad Covid-19, ordered that the examination and investigation process against the TNI members be carried out as soon as possible. According to Herwin, an investigation will also be conducted on healthcare workers, security personnel, and other quarantine organizers to obtain maximum results.

Herwin mentioned that they will use this incident as an evaluation material in accordance with SE Satgas Covid 19 Number 18/2021, which states that guests/residents who have just arrived from abroad are required to undergo quarantine for 8x24 hours.

"Currently, Kodam Jaya is in the process of investigation, the examination is carried out from upstream to downstream, in the sense that the examination is carried out from the airport to RSDC Wisma Atlet Pademangan," he said.
