Eva Manurung Fights for Custody of Her Grandchildren, Prepares Evidence of Alleged Violence by Inara Rusli

The custody battle between Virgoun and Inara Rusli seems to be entering a new and heated chapter. Virgoun's mother, Eva Manurung, openly stated that she will fight for the custody of her grandchildren to fall into the hands of her son.

Eva claims to have strong evidence regarding allegations of violence in the parenting style applied by Inara. Eva compares the way of educating children between herself, Virgoun, and Inara, which she believes is very contradictory.

Eva Manurung accused Inara of frequently resorting to physical violence against children, such as hitting them on the head if they refuse to eat.

"So it's different from, with this, with her. For example, if a child falls, or a child doesn't want to eat, you ask why they don’t want to eat? Come here, look at their mouth. Not just hitting them! Like that," Eva exclaimed in a raised voice when met in the Mampang area, South Jakarta, on Monday (15/12/2025).

Even more shocking, Eva mentioned that Virgoun himself had witnessed the abusive behavior firsthand. Moreover, Eva hinted at the existence of CCTV footage that could support her claims, although access to the CCTV is reported to have been changed after the divorce.

"Well, Virgoun saw it himself! I saw it myself! What about it? At that time, his child even got out of the car... (scared). 'Just let it be, Mom, that's his child.' He said," Eva recounted, mimicking Virgoun's resigned words at that time.

Based on that, Eva and Virgoun's side are currently preparing legal steps to take over custody. Eva feels that her grandchildren's mental health is at risk if they continue to be under Inara's care, whom she considers temperamental.

"Of course, there are, certainly with the evidence from before. Not yet, not yet (the lawsuit filed). Just about to, just being prepared," she explained regarding the custody lawsuit plan.

Eva emphasized that what she is doing is purely for the safety and mental health of her grandchildren. She does not want Virgoun's children to grow up under pressure and fear.

"My child is important, not crazy, my child is safe. I have no one, no husband. So I challenge, well if I am at the forefront tomorrow like this, it's up to me. I do it for my children," concluded Eva Manurung.
