The band GIGI will hold a concert titled GIGINFINITY as a sign of celebration for 30 years of artistry. GIGINFINITY itself will take place at Istora Senayan, Central Jakarta on August 24, 2024
Uniquely, in this concert, collaborators from various genres across generations will be featured, such as Fanny Soegi, Mahalini, HIVI!, Perunggu, Afgan, Ariel, and Krisdayanti. Stay tuned for the full story regarding GIGI's hopes.
The presence of these young musicians aims to attract young people to attend. Moreover, the band led by Armand Maulana, Dewa Budjana, Thomas Ramdhan, and Gusti Hendy wants to see regeneration among GIGIKita.
“Hopefully this can be a new bridge for us. Because it turns out that even after decades, many still do not know GIGI,” said Thomas Ramdhan during a press conference at Galeri Indonesia Kaya, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (31/7).
“With this, hopefully there will be new energy that we can see from the audience that comes later,” he added.
On the same occasion, Edy Khemod as the creative director said that the GIGInfinity concert is not just about romance but a continuous effort by Armand and his team to remain relevant in today’s music industry.
“The concept that the GIGI friends brought during the briefing was very interesting. This is not just about romance, but what GIGI will be like in the future,” said Edy Khemod.
“What makes GIGI continue to be sustainable and present in the Indonesian music industry is their works. We invite the younger generation to perform, and they will present GIGI's works,” he continued.
So, this 30th-anniversary concert not only features GIGI but also showcases regeneration to further enliven the atmosphere.
“So, it’s not just about the romanticism of GIGI's performance, but there is also regeneration here,” he remarked.
