Experiencing Trauma After Leaving Sheila On 7, Anton Felt Nauseous When Seeing Drums

Kapanlagi.com - Former drummer of Sheila On 7, Anton Widiastanto admitted to experiencing trauma after leaving the band. He revealed that after being forcibly removed, he didn't even leave the house for 6 months.

"After that (being removed), I never, I counted it, for six straight months, I never left this house," said Anton in an interview uploaded on medcom.id's YouTube channel on Monday (16/3/2020).

1. Many Journalists

Anton also revealed that there were many journalists who came to his residence at that time to ask about his decision to leave Sheila On 7. So every day for six months, he continued to serve various interviews from media colleagues.

"I never left the house. And every day there were journalists, some came here and I had to entertain them, because they wanted to ask for confirmation and so on, not to mention via SMS at that time. There were always things like that for six months," he continued.

2. Feeling Nauseous Seeing Drums

Not stopping there, the effect of Anton's forced departure from Sheila On 7 also had an impact on his mental condition. He admitted that he felt nauseous just by looking at drums.

"So I stacked the drums in this room (warehouse), I piled them up. So when I entered the warehouse to get something, like scissors or something, not to vomit, suddenly it felt like something was rising," he added.

Anton himself is known as the drummer who accompanied Sheila On 7 from the beginning until 2004. After years of silence, he recently admitted that his decision to leave the group was not something that came from his own desire, but rather a coercion from the management side.
