Facing Gading Marten's Basketball Club, Raffi Ahmad Asks His Team to Play Well

Kapanlagi.com - Raffi Ahmad has high expectations for his basketball club, Rans PIK Basketball, which is participating in the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) this season.

Although his basketball club is new to the IBL, Raffi hopes that Rans PIK Basketball can play well in every game and make it to the Finals.

Raffi's hope is not just a mere dream. This is because his basketball club has many talented players. Additionally, he also takes inspiration from the success of Rans Cilegon FC, his football club that managed to enter Liga 1.

"Alhamdulillah, Rans Cilegon made it to Liga 1, and hopefully, the same spirit will continue in basketball. (The target in the IBL) The important thing is to play well and be united. If we become champions or reach the finals, that's a bonus," said Raffi Ahmad during the virtual launch of Rans PIK Basketball's jersey on Tuesday (11/1/2022).

1. Raffi Ahmad's Hope

With the presence of his club in IBL, Raffi hopes that basketball will be loved by the Indonesian people again, like during the Kobatama era.

"Together, we compete in a healthy way. We want to advance sports, especially basketball in Indonesia. Hopefully, the presence of Rans can bring a new color," he said.

2. Will Start Rolling

This year's IBL competition will start rolling on Saturday, January 15, 2022. For the opening match, Raffi Ahmad's club will face Gading Marten's West Bandit Solo, his friend.

"Meeting with West Bandit, I told Gading that it's Rafathar vs Gempi. Many friends will support Rans Pik, many figures will come. Just wait for our debut performance on January 15, against West Bandit," said Raffi.

3. Create the Rans Jersey Introduction Event

As a motivation for his team to face West Bandit, Raffi Ahmad, along with his business partner, Rudi Salim, intentionally held a grand introduction event for the Rans PIK Basketball jersey.

The event was attended by Bambang Soesatyo as the Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly (MPR RI), Minister of Youth and Sports Zainudin Amali, representatives from IBL, and supporters.

4. Featuring Purple and Pink Colors

The official jersey of Rans PIK Basketball features purple and pink colors. The jersey has a simple and modern design with a phoenix bird icon perched on the right shoulder.

"Our vision is to have the best basketball team in Indonesia under Rans Entertainment. Hopefully, we can bring a new and professional atmosphere," said Rudy Salim, who is also the chairman of Rans PIK Basketball.
