Before settling in Indonesia, Haryo Pramoe had lived in the Netherlands. He obtained a scholarship to the Netherlands in 1999. There, he admitted to not being religious for a while.
However, he later converted to Islam and began equipping himself with religious knowledge. He then pursued a career in the entertainment world as an adventurous chef.
The year 2015 was the toughest year for Chef Haryo. He divorced his wife, which led to a drastic decline in his business that he had built, eventually resulting in bankruptcy.
After four chaotic years, Chef Haryo began to rise again. In 2019, he remarried for the second time. From there, his life started to change.
Experiencing consecutive trials, Chef Haryo decided to embrace Islam and deepen his religious knowledge. Fortunately, his new wife is very supportive. And after embracing Islam, he admits to living a more peaceful life.
In 2020, Chef Haryo suffered a heart attack while watching a concert. From the examination results, it turned out that he had chronic aortic dissection disease.
One year after being diagnosed, Chef Haryo finally underwent surgery after receiving assistance from his friends. He had to spend around Rp400 million.
After recovering, Chef Haryo briefly returned to the entertainment world and held cooking demonstrations. And on December 21, 2023, Chef Haryo Pramoe was reported to have passed away at the age of 48.
