Ten Months After the 'LAYANGAN PUTUS' Series Ended, Anya Geraldine Admits Still Receiving Criticism Due to Her Role as a Homewrecker

Playing the role of Lydia in the series apparently led Anya to receive criticism from netizens through messages on Instagram. Not only during the airing of the series, but for months afterwards.

"After I finished shooting the series back then, for about ten months, many people harassed and insulted me. It still sticks (the character of Lydia)," said Anya when met at Plaza Indonesia, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (19/12/2023).

1. Asking Lydia Not to Be Hated

Now Lydia's character is back, but in a movie format titled LAYANGAN PUTUS THE MOVIE. Anya Geraldine hopes that people's perception of her will change after portraying the character, which has undergone development.

"Now that there is a movie, maybe Lydia's character still sticks, but hopefully this time you can be happy with Lydia's character. Don't keep hating her, pity her," said Anya.

2. Aris Marries Lydia

LAYANGAN PUTUS THE MOVIE will be shown in cinemas throughout Indonesia starting from December 21, 2023. The story in this film continues after Aris and Kinan's divorce.

Aris (Reza Rahadian) wants to marry Lydia (Anya Geraldine), but is still hesitant because he lacks approval from their only daughter from his marriage with Kinan. When they finally get married, their household is filled with problems.
