"I really want to be treated in the hospital, but the problem is I need to have BPJS, which hasn't been paid. The penalty is Rp 6,120,000," Fahmi Bo said when met at his home in the Kebon Jeruk area, West Jakarta, Thursday (7/8/2025).

In a state of despair and enduring pain, Fahmi decided to go live on TikTok. His only goal was to collect donations from his followers to pay off the debt.

"I intentionally went live earlier so I could gather more, if I get coins, I add them to save up for my hospital treatment," he said.

His actions were not always smooth. Some of his live viewers criticized his decision. They questioned why Fahmi was still able to play on social media while he was in such severe pain and struggling to breathe."You're already sick, why are you live? You should be resting," Fahmi mimicked his viewers' comments.

However, he did not give up. Fahmi explained that live TikTok was the only way he could think of at that time. He did not ask at all, but hoped for the kindness of his viewers.

"I said, 'Sorry, I'm live, I'm trying to collect coins.' If given coins, alhamdulillah. Maybe that could help add up to pay off the BPJS arrears," he explained.
