The initial success of the culinary business Fahmi Bo cannot be separated from the skilled hands of his wife, Nita Anita Khairiyyah. In their home located in the Pal Merah area, Nita is the central figure who prepares various family favorite dishes. One of the stars is the Oxtail Pickles dish that has a unique and fresh flavor burst.

Nita revealed that this menu was chosen because it is a favorite of their extended family during every Eid moment. After several trials in their own kitchen, she finally succeeded in finding the right proportions. This dish has now become a mainstay in the menu they offer to customers.

"Finally, I thought, why don't we just open oxtail pickles? You are good at making oxtail pickles, and it's also our family's favorite dish. If it doesn't sell out, we'll eat it ourselves, so it won't go to waste. In the end, we chose just three simple menus," said Nita Anita Khairiyyah when met in her home area in Pal Merah, West Jakarta, on Tuesday (21/4/2026).

In addition to Oxtail Pickle, Nita also prepares Beef Rib Soup and Betawi Milkfish Soup, which are part of the local culinary wealth. These recipes have been passed down through generations and developed to suit current market tastes. Nita's meticulousness in selecting fresh ingredients at the market is the key to the deliciousness of her dishes.

The entire process, from shopping for ingredients to cooking, is done by Nita herself. She has to carefully divide her time between managing the kitchen and taking care of Fahmi Bo, who still finds it difficult to be active. Her dedication has earned admiration from her husband, who always provides moral support.

"I shop myself. Everything is done by Mom. The shopping, the cooking, while providing everything. Because right now there’s no one to help, I can’t do anything yet, the kids are also working," added Fahmi Bo, praising the hard work of his life pillar.

The hallmark of Nita's Oxtail Pickle lies in its fresh broth, which combines sour and spicy flavors from whole green chilies. The use of whole onions in the broth provides a different eating sensation compared to regular oxtail soup. Nita guarantees that every portion served is made with heartfelt sincerity.

This business, which has only been running for three days, was initially intended for online sales through text messages. However, due to the high demand from neighbors and fans who wanted to dine in, they eventually set up a small table. The glow of joy has returned to their home thanks to this new activity.

"Our initial goal was indeed more towards online selling via WhatsApp. But many suggested that we might as well open here if anyone wants to eat. So we ended up buying a table, buying a poster, and suddenly it became like this," Fahmi Bo said regarding the development of his business.

Nita hopes that the spark of passion from this culinary endeavor can help lighten her family's economic burden. She never complains, even though she has to work extra hard every day. For her, seeing her husband happy and engaged in positive activities is an invaluable joy for a wife.
