Kapanlagi.com - Failing in Indonesian Idol season ten does not diminish Aib Mercury's interest and dream to become a singer. Luck came when the music label SPMS Entertainment collaborated with him for recording.
On July 27, 2020, Aib Mercury officially released his debut single titled Berlari dan Berlutut (Running and Kneeling). This song, composed by Febry Yandri, is packaged in the pop genre. The lyrics tell the story of a man's effort in pursuing true love.
"So, Berlari dan Berlutut tells the story of a man's effort in pursuing his love until the bitter end. Even though he knows it will be in vain," he explained at 98 Coffeebar, South Jakarta, on Monday (27/7/2020).

The song is acknowledged by its owner, Ariep Hidayatullah, and it is also highly related to his life, which is characterized by never giving up in pursuing his dreams of becoming a singer. He admitted to being motivated by Judika's statement when he participated in the Indonesian Idol 2020 audition.
"At that time, Bang Judika said that Aib had the potential to become a singer, to keep creating, and not to give up. Alhamdulillah, the impact was significant, to the point that Aib wouldn't have been able to enter the music industry if Bang Judika hadn't said those words," said Aib.

In his journey as a singer, Aib, who was said to resemble Freddie Mercury during the Indonesian Idol audition, wants to be known as Freddie Mercury KW. Therefore, for his stage performances, he will always dress like the lead vocalist of the band Queen.
"People know Aib as Freddie Mercury KW, and Aib himself has similarities in his vibrato, although his voice is higher," he added.
