After failing to become a legislator, Giring expressed his interest in returning to music. He even wants to have a reunion with the band Nidji after leaving because he wanted to become a politician.
"If they want to reunite, let's do it. But I don't know if the band wants to or not. I just want to," said Giring when met in the BSD area, Tangerang, on Saturday last week (30/3/2024).

Giring Ganesha feels it would be fun to have a reunion with Nidji. Because now the band has a new vocalist, Ubay.
"We already have Ubay as the new vocalist. It would be cool to have a reunion with two vocalists. I want to, but I don't know about the others," Giring continued.
However, that desire was immediately contradicted by Nidji's official statement through their official X account. They cannot have a reunion because Nidji is currently preparing for a new album.
"There won't be a reunion, guys. Let alone a reunion happening, we don't even have time to plan it, we are focused on preparing for the new album," said Nidji as quoted by KapanLagi.com on Monday (1/4/2024).
This tweet received a response from Rama, Nidji's guitarist. "A reunion? What for? The band is still intact and going strong. Let's stay focused," Rama wrote.
Randy Danistha, Nidji's keyboardist, also responded on X and caught public attention. "A reunion? Sorry, no..." he wrote.
