Fajar Umbara Denies Committing Violence Against His Child, Yuyun Sukawati: Slander

Kapanlagi.com - Director Fajar Umbara denies having committed acts of violence against his stepson, HAW, who is also the child of actress Yuyun Sukawati. He expressed this during the defendant's trial at the Tangerang District Court on Tuesday (10/8).

In fact, Fajar Umbara dares to swear that what he said is not a lie. "I speak honestly, Your Honor. I am ready to take an oath," he said in front of the judge and prosecutor.

Hearing Fajar Umbara's statement, Yuyun Sukawati, who was also present in the courtroom, shook her head and said, "Such slander."

The confession from this famous director of various horror films in Indonesia shocked Yuyun's legal team. They did not expect Fajar to resist and deny all accusations.

"The defendant denies many things, does not admit guilt. It's sad, even though there is evidence of physical abuse from the autopsy, psychologists have also proven that there is psychological violence. It's really regrettable that he's like that," said Lissa V after the trial.

"Let him say whatever he wants. What's certain is that we have evidence of violence committed by Fajar against HAW," added Immanuel Sinaga, another lawyer for Yuyun.

Meanwhile, Yuyun expressed sadness over the 'resistance' shown by Fajar.
She believes that it will only prolong the trial.

"It's sad. I just want justice for my child. What he did only complicates things. In prison, he doesn't introspect, he still thinks he's right. I'm tired, I just want it to be over quickly," concluded Yuyun.

2. Uncooperative Fajar

As we know, the judge previously assessed that Fajar was evasive in answering questions. "You were asked one thing, why did you answer something else? Don't be evasive," the judge reprimanded.

Apparently, this is not the first time Fajar Umbara has annoyed the judge. According to Yuyun's legal representative, Lissa V, in a previous trial, Fajar Umbara was also reprimanded by the judge for allegedly undermining the trial.

"The previous trial was worse. It was an online trial, and he was uncooperative, taking off and putting on his headset while laughing and grinning," she said.

After examining the defendant, the judge plans to continue the trial on August 19th with the agenda of hearing witness testimonies.
