Family Emphasizes No Peaceful Words for Joddy, the Driver of the Late Vanessa Angel

Kapanlagi.com - The figure of Tubagus Joddy has become the center of attention after the fatal accident that killed Vanessa Angel and her husband, Bibi Ardiansyah. Joddy, who was the driver at the time, is considered responsible for the tragic event. The same goes for the family of the late Vanessa Angel and Bibi.

Joddy is considered by Faisal, Bibi's father, to have been negligent and reckless in driving. Therefore, Faisal admitted that he was reluctant to reconcile with Joddy and hoped that the law would be enforced firmly.

"It must be done. Seeing the victims, both of my children were too fatal. If (the law is not enforced), how would I feel? So if the law is enforced, it depends on the process later. If he is guilty, then he is guilty. If not, then it's okay," said Faisal at the funeral home, Permata Mediterania Housing, West Jakarta, Monday (18/11/2021).

According to Faisal, at least with Joddy being prosecuted, it can bring solace to him. It also serves as a lesson for drivers not to drive recklessly.

"Perhaps that will be a consolation for me and also a lesson for other drivers to think twice about driving their employer's car because anyone who drives recklessly without control has legal consequences," he said.

1. Joddy's Family Has Not Apologized

Joddy, who only suffered minor injuries since the beginning of the accident, is said that Faisal has not communicated with him until now. The same goes for Joddy's family.

"Until now, Joddy and his family haven't shown any signs of speaking to us. Let alone apologizing. So we leave it to the law. If (it's settled). I don't think so," he said.

As it is known, Vanessa Angel and her husband died after a single accident on the Jombang-Surabaya toll road on Thursday afternoon (4/11/2021). Meanwhile, the three other people in the car, namely the driver, the babysitter, and Gala Sky Andriansyah, the late child, were declared safe.

The accident is suspected to be due to the driver's negligence, causing Vanessa's car to crash into the concrete road divider. Joddy admitted that he exceeded the speed limit on the toll road and was playing with his cellphone, which caused the accident to happen.
