Far From the Spotlight, 2 Sons of Meriam Bellina Abel and Nigel Apparently Pursue the Business World

The handsome duo of senior actress Meriam Bellina has grown so big, where the eldest, Abel, is now 28 years old, while the youngest, Nigel, is 24 years old.

First of all, Nigel and Abel discuss the burden of being celebrity children. Although they don't mind, there are a few things that bother them.

"It's not really bothersome (being celebrity children), but it's tiring when people find out who I am and there are a million questions. It's quite burdensome," Nigel said.

"I don't really care. It's not like having a famous family name is a burden, not at all. But sometimes people unconsciously give more attention or demand more when they find out who we are," Abel added, agreeing with Nigel.

2. Following Meriam Bellina's Footsteps in the Entertainment Industry?

They then discuss the possibility of following their mother's footsteps in the entertainment industry. Abel and Nigel have slightly different answers for this topic.

"For the main plan, not really, I can't say no. But so far, maybe around 10% have the intention (to enter the entertainment industry). Because what you said is true, in our position, it's not certain that we can establish ourselves in that field, but the path to enter (the entertainment industry) is easier," Nigel replied.

Meanwhile, Abel seems interested in trying out the behind-the-scenes aspect. "Not in front of the camera, but personally, I want to work behind the scenes, maybe as a producer or director. And my true passion is more towards business," Abel continued.

3. Businesses Run by Abel and Nigel

Abel and Nigel are currently starting to venture into the business world. They each have their own businesses, but there are also some that they run together.

"(Business) Some are individual, some are together. The one we do together is Food and Beverage, we are currently trying to develop a coffee business," said Nigel.

"Another one that we do together is a broker in coal and commodities outsourcing. As for me individually, it's property, selling houses, being a developer," added Abel.

4. Doing Business Without Interference from Meriam Bellina

Nigel himself denies any interference from his mother in paving his career in the business world. According to him, he has been involved in the property business from scratch, where Meriam Bellina only provides moral support to encourage him.

"Coincidentally, the first business I got into was the property business about 4 years ago. It can be said that I started from scratch with my partners. But in terms of parents, maybe they only provide moral support. In the brokerage business, they did help me meet some people, but in my property business, my mom actually has no experience in that field, so I really dove in and learned on my own," concluded Abel.
