The name Fariz RM is back in the spotlight after undergoing his second trial for drug abuse. In the trial held at the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday (19/6/2025), this veteran musician appeared calm and relaxed.
Fariz was apprehended on February 18, 2025, in Bandung. He was reported to be ordering narcotics in the form of marijuana and methamphetamine from a man with the initials ADK. Both are currently undergoing legal proceedings. Read more about it below!
Despite facing a difficult situation, Fariz RM continues to show his strong spiritual side. He stated that everything happening is part of God's will.
"I surrender myself to God because I believe God's will is always the best will," he said after the hearing.
Fariz also stated that as a Muslim, he strives to remain steadfast and believes that every trial has its wisdom. "Oh, for me as a Muslim, I believe in God's will. It's always the best for me," he said.
In this process, Fariz feels very supported by the presence and support of his family. He mentioned that support from his loved ones makes him strong and resilient.
"What is clear is that I am sincere, I am ready, I thank everyone involved in the legal process, especially my family who always believes in me, my child, my wife, my mother," he expressed.
Not only that, he also mentioned that during his time in detention, his wife often came to give him encouragement. "Oh, it's okay, my wife often comes to (the detention center)," said Fariz RM.
Although this is not the first time Fariz has been involved in a drug case, he still tries to make this experience a life reflection. "I regret it, yes, but I am just an ordinary human. I am an ordinary human who is not free from mistakes," he concluded his statement.
