Father's Sacrifice for Putri Ariani, Willing to Quit Job for Her Daughter to Perform on America's Got Talent 2023

A few times ago, the virtual world was shocked by the figure of Putri Ariani, a young Indonesian singer who managed to showcase her singing talent in the America's Got Talent (AGT) 2023 talent search event. Behind the success that Putri Ariani achieved, there is a father figure who is willing to sacrifice for his beloved daughter. Ismawan Kurnianto, Putri Ariani's father, is willing to leave his job to accompany Putri Ariani in her career journey. This was conveyed by Ismawan in 2014 when Putri participated in the Indonesia's Got Talent event. 

"I made the decision to quit my job because Putri Ariani needed me to be by her side," Ismawan said when asked about his reason for leaving his job. It is known that after leaving his job, Ismawan, who is a graduate of engineering, started his own business. The business run by Putri Ariani's father is a Malay cuisine restaurant called Selera Melayu.

1. Putri's Dream to Perform on AGT 2023

Quoting a brief interview on the America's Got Talent YouTube channel, Putri said that since she was a child, she had dreamed of participating in one of the biggest talent search events in the United States. In addition to talking about her dreams, Putri also talked about her feelings as a singer who has visual impairment or blindness. "My biggest challenge is people who see me as blind, not as a musician," said Putri Ariani to AGT 2023 host, Terry Crews.

After getting ready, Putri was guided by her father to go on stage. To the audience and judges in the studio, Putri introduced herself as coming from Indonesia and still sitting in high school. Putri also expressed her hope of becoming the champion of AGT 2023 so that she would have the opportunity to study at one of the world's prestigious music schools, Juilliard.

2. Putri Asked to Sing Twice

During the audition, Putri sang two songs. She successfully sang the first song very well and amazed the entire audience who watched her live. Her beautiful voice mesmerized the judges and all the audience there. After finishing the first song, Simon Cowell suddenly went up on stage and approached Putri. It turned out that Simon asked Putri to sing one more song. Putri agreed to the request. 

On her second performance, Putri sang the song titled Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word by Elton John. This performance made the judges even more convinced that Putri is very talented. Not only the judges, all the audience present also appreciated Putri's performance by giving her a standing ovation. The judges and audience were even more amazed when Putri said that the first song she sang was her own composition. 

Sofia Vergara said that Putri's voice is like an angel. The same goes for Howie Mendel who likened Putri to an angel who came down to the stage. In addition, Heidi Klum also commented that Putri's vocal ability is very impressive. Then, Simon Cowell decided to give Putri the Golden Buzzer. 

3. Simon Cowell's Praise for Putri

After the Golden Buzzer was pressed, Putri was immediately surprised and happy at the same time. Putri's parents ran towards the stage to hug their pride and joy. Shortly after, Simon Cowell approached Putri and praised her.
