The division of joint assets between Sarwendah and her ex-husband, Ruben Onsu, has now left a rather complicated controversy. The woman's side feels very disadvantaged because they received assets that turned out to be encumbered or not free of debt.

"Honestly, we feel deceived in the end. Why? The house given to us is a house with assets that are not clean," said Chris Sam Siwu when met by KapanLagi in the Cilandak area, South Jakarta, Monday (1/6/2026).

The house handed over for the children's residence actually still has a fantastic debt burden on the banking side. This fact only came to light after the divorce process of this celebrity couple was officially completed some time ago.

"Everything is guaranteed at the bank with a quite fantastic debt. Where that debt is submitted to the bank by RO. This means he is obligated to pay," he explained further.

Initially, there was an agreement that all remaining debts would be the full responsibility of the man. However, suddenly the opposing party demanded that the payment burden be split evenly with the ex-wife.

"Then what has been paid previously for the installments during the negotiation was requested to be returned from our client's side to RO," Chris remarked.

Sarwendah had shown good intentions by being willing to pay off all remaining installments of the house alone without assistance. Unfortunately, the opposing party imposed new additional conditions that were considered very burdensome for her client's position.

"There’s more! Even after our client decided that it’s okay we will settle, there’s an additional request: to ask for a refund of the money that has already been paid," he added.

This issue of real estate assets includes four properties scattered in the South Jakarta area and its surroundings. The woman insists that the division list is the result of a unilateral choice made by her ex-husband.

"From the beginning, we already showed the chat evidence that RO chose his assets. That’s what we responded with yesterday," he revealed.
