Fiersa Besari Involved in an Accident in South Sulawesi, Car Almost Plunged into a Ravine

He and his team had an accident on their way to Jakarta from South Sulawesi before performing on the third day of the Java Jazz Festival. However, Fiersa Besari stated that despite the incident, he and his team are still in good condition.

Despite the serious situation, Fiersa is grateful that they all arrived safely in Jakarta. Through an IG Story post, Fiersa Besari announced the good news that all members of his team are safe and sound after the accident.

In the post, Fiersa explained the chronology of the event to avoid misinformation. On Saturday, June 3, Fiersa and his team performed in Bone, South Sulawesi. The next day, they had to perform in Jakarta on the last day of the Java Jazz Festival 2023.

"So from Bone to Makassar, we had to drive by car through land travel. Why did we have to take a morning flight? Let me give you the context first, so in the music world, before the event starts, we have to check the sound first," said Fiersa Besari on Sunday (4/6/2023) night.

"Now, sound check is usually in the morning. That's why, even though we perform at night or in the afternoon, we have to come to that particular city in the morning. Because there are rows of stages, you can imagine how tiring it is," he added.

At midnight at 12 WITA, they drove quickly towards Makassar. However, possibly due to fatigue, the driver fell asleep.

"It seems that because it's already midnight, the driver fell asleep. Don't blame him, it's understandable that he's tired. We were all sleeping in the car, only the driver and my friend were awake. He eventually fell asleep and hit a very hard rock. We all woke up in the back, screaming. It was also visible that the car was dented," he continued.

2. Almost Fell Into a Ravine

Although the car was damaged, Fiersa was grateful that there was a rock that caused the collision. If there was no rock, they might have been in a more dangerous situation because there was a ravine in front of them and it was very dark.

"So if there was no rock, maybe our fate would have been different. We were lucky to hit that rock and the impact only hit the right side of the car. Thank God we're still safe," he added.

Finally, Fiersa Besari once again expressed gratitude that the accident did not have fatal consequences for all passengers. He also asked netizens to be wise by not blaming the driver who was suspected of being tired.

"Thank God everyone is safe and sound. And it's cool to still perform in Bone. That's the story, so don't worry. Hopefully the car will be repaired soon. Hopefully the travel company won't suffer losses and don't blame the driver. It's just because of sleepiness, who wants it, and no one wants accidents," said Fiersa Besari again.

"The important thing is that everything is okay. Goods can be replaced. As long as no one is hurt and no one is injured, it's already a blessing. Indonesians are lucky. Hopefully we will always be lucky," concluded this father of one.
