First Divorce Hearing Will Soon be Held, Virgoun Will Address This

Kapanlagi.com - The first hearing of the divorce lawsuit filed by Inara Rusli against singer Virgoun in the West Jakarta Religious Court will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Moreover, the hearing will enter the mediation agenda where if Inara is also present, she will meet with Virgoun.

"I have conveyed that at the first hearing, he (Virgoun) must be present," said Sandy Arifin, Virgoun's lawyer when met at the South Jakarta Religious Court, Friday, (26/5/2023).

One of the things that Virgoun is now focusing on in his divorce hearing with Inara is to be able to get custody of their three children. Hence, every effort will be made for his beloved children.

"And to convey to the panel of judges that he is serious and must show that he wants to request custody of his children in the guardianship case against our client," said Sandy.

During the first hearing with the mediation agenda, Virgoun will meet with Inara, if present. Sandy asked Virgoun to also express his desire to be able to get custody of their three children.

"I conveyed to our client to express his desire," said Sandy.

However, it seems that the hearing will be difficult, considering that Inara included custody in her lawsuit. Even their assets were also included in the lawsuit.

It is known that Virgoun's party through their lawyer on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 decided to withdraw their divorce petition. This was done because they wanted to include a custody lawsuit for their children.

Before filing the lawsuit again, Inara first submitted her lawsuit and it has been accepted by the West Jakarta Religious Court. This was also not objected by Virgoun.

"We have no changes, because before we submitted yesterday, apparently they had submitted it first, so we are waiting for the content of their lawsuit and we will answer and also immediately study the content of the lawsuit. What is certain is that until now our client wants custody or guardianship of the child to fall to our client, Mr. Virgoun," Sandy concluded.
