"Well, it should be (spending billions)," said Jeje when met in the Pondok Indah area, South Jakarta, not long ago.

Jeje said he was grateful to receive a lot of support from his extended family, especially his wife, Syahnaz Sadiqah. After the voting day, the woman who is familiarly called Nanas diligently monitored the KPU website to see the vote count obtained by her husband.

"She's the same, she diligently looks at the website. She supports and is happy that I am participating in this," said the man born on April 22, 1983.

It is known, based on observations from the General Election Commission (KPU) website on Monday (26/2/2024), Jeje Govinda's temporary votes reached 25,501. Currently, the temporary votes that have been counted are 10,632 out of 16,122 polling stations or 65.95 percent.

Even if he doesn't make it to the Parliament, Jeje said he doesn't mind. Especially since this is his first experience and it will be a valuable lesson.

Indeed, at first Jeje was afraid that he might not pass to Senayan. However, after going through it, he felt a different experience that he had never experienced before in his life.

"It's okay, it's called elections," said Govinda, the drummer. And he's not discouraged. It was scary at first, but it turned out to be exciting," said this father of two.

However, if he passes and sits as a representative of the people, there are several things that Jeje will do. He will also wait for the decision of the party that supports him, where he will be placed.

"If I get elected, I will change the stigma that many people think that once they are elected, they forget about the people who voted for them and their aspirations are not fulfilled," promised Jeje.

For Jeje, it depends on which commission he will be placed in, and where he will be placed. Until now, he is still waiting for the decision from the party.
