First Time Making a Film, Aldi Taher Hopes to be Watched by Raffi Ahmad and Deddy Corbuzier

Kapanlagi.com - For the first time, Aldi Taher is working on a horror film titled BISIKAN JENAZAH. Not only as an actor, he also doubles as the director. This is Aldi Taher's first experience in the entertainment world.

"Honestly, this is a new experience, usually I'm an actor, now I'm also writing the script and directing," said Aldi Taher during the gala premiere at XXI Epicentrum, Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (2/11).

Of course, this is a new experience and challenge for Aldi Taher because this film is a collaboration between Indonesia (Bersahaja Entertainment) and Malaysia (Langit Terang Production). The shooting itself was done in Malaysia before the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Before the pandemic, we had already shot in Malaysia. It wasn't easy. I directed a veteran Malaysian actress, Emma Maembong, who has 5 million followers. That was a challenge, but thanks to the prayers of all friends, we were able to complete this 90-minute film," he explained.

1. Hoping to be Watched by Raffi Ahmad

Aldi Taher also hopes that his debut work as a director and actor will be successful. He also hopes that his film will be watched by his friend Raffi Ahmad and also Deddy Corbuzier. In fact, in his film, he includes a dialogue while calling Raffi Ahmad.

"Insha Allah Raffi Ahmad and Deddy Corbuzier will watch this film to buy diapers for children. Hopefully, Mr. Deddy and Raffi Ahmad will watch this film," said Aldi Taher.

"I have been friends (with Raffi) for a long time. Insha Allah, he will support me. Whenever we meet at an event, he always says 'this is my friend'. Alhamdulillah, he has already sent (the film premiere invitation) but maybe he has other commitments," he continued.

2. As a Cancer Fighter

Through this film, Aldi Taher also wants to show that as a cancer fighter, he can still create.

"I am deeply moved. As a cancer fighter, I want to continue to have the spirit to create. I don't have grand ambitions, I just want to provide for my child. Even to the point where I hit the streets with posters, as a cancer survivor, we can rise up with spirit. I am grateful that Allah still grants me healing. I was also helped by Ria Irawan when she was still alive. Alhamdulillah, it has come true today," expressed Aldi Taher.

Aldi Taher's spirit is also what made Arbi Leo want to produce this film.  BISIKAN JENAZAH will be screened starting from November 4 in all cinemas in Indonesia. The plan is for this film to also be shown in five Southeast Asian countries.

"Aldi Taher has great talent and potential in the entertainment industry. I also admire Aldi as a cancer fighter, a fighter for his family, it is evident how he struggles for his mother and his family. That is what touches my heart, and that is what made me believe and immediately decide to produce this film," concluded Arbi Leo.
