After Mezzaluna, now it's Tallulah Alami's turn or better known as Lula Natura to follow in her father's footsteps, Bimbim Slank diving into the Indonesian music industry.
Bimbim Slank and Reni's second daughter released her debut album titled Curhat Lula. This 17-year-old girl revealed her reason for entering the music industry through the Pulau Biru Musik label, a sub-label of Slank Records.
"Actually, I have been interested in music since I was little, listening to songs, and watching Broadway. Since I was little, I wanted to be a singer, a dentist, and a chef. But it was only realized at the age of 17 that I became a singer," said Lula at Potlot, South Jakarta, Friday (22/12/2023).
This album has eight songs, all of which were written by Lula herself, telling stories from adolescence, daily life, and the expression of the young generation's soul.
"From the music genre and lyrics (in the Curhat Lula album), it can be categorized into several categories, talking about dreams, experiences, and my daily life in this album," she said.
Bimbim Slank, as the album producer, also fully supports his daughter's steps into the music world. Bimbim also participated in refining the lyrics of Lula's songs.
"If her (mother) permission is given, then it's okay. I am close to Lula, all the lyrics since childhood were discussed with her. I push and guide her to pour her heart into the lyrics. She is a quiet child at home, I didn't expect that when she expresses her feelings, wow," said Bimbim.
As Lula's father, who already has a lot of experience in the Indonesian music industry, Bimbim gives a message to Lula so that his daughter can be consistent in her career as a musician.
"Yes, welcome to the music industry, if she just released an album, that's the first step, there are even more challenging tasks ahead, such as making more songs and performing," said Bimbim.
"In this music industry, consistency is the most important thing, once we mention it, don't stop, don't think that being a rockstar means living a relaxed life," concluded Bimbim.
The album "Curhat Lula" has been officially released and is available on all digital streaming platforms, and the music video for I Think I'm In Love With You is now available on Lula Natura's YouTube channel. Here is the list of songs included in Lula's album.
