Former BIP Drummer Uses Meth Since 2002

Kapanlagi.com - The Narcotics Investigation Unit of North Jakarta Metro Police arrested Jaka Hidayat, former drummer of the music group BIP on Wednesday (9/2/2020). Jaka was apprehended by the police along with an individual with the initials MY at a hotel in North Jakarta for using methamphetamine.

"This incident occurred on September 2, 2020 at 14:30 WIB. The first suspect with the initials JH, his occupation is a drummer or musician or DJ remixer, approximately 45 years old. Then the second suspect with the initials MY, who acted as a courier, his occupation is estimated to be a private employee, around 44 years old," said the North Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Commissioner Pol Sudjarwoko at the North Jakarta Police Station, Friday (9/4/2020).

1. Consumption Since 2002

To the police, Jaka Hidayat admitted to have been consuming crystal meth since 2002 and had stopped. Then, in the past two months, he tried consuming it again.

"Based on the preliminary examination, he has been using this type of narcotic, crystal meth, since (the year) 2002. However, he had stopped using narcotics and started again actively two months ago," he said.

2. Capture of Initials MY

In addition to Jaka Hidayat, the police arrested his friend with the initials MY. A courier who was about to deliver goods to Jaka Hidayat. When his urine was tested, Jaka tested positive for consuming methamphetamine.

"To undergo further examination based on the preliminary examination results, both suspects tested positive for methamphetamine," he concluded.
