Frequently Compared, Ari Lasso Reveals His Relationship Behind the Stage with Once Mekel

Kapanlagi.com - Dewa 19, one of the legendary bands in the country, is known to have had two equally great vocalists. There was Ari Lasso in the 90s when they were still called Dewa and then changed to Once in the 2000s when they changed their name to Dewa 19.

Although they had their own unique vocal character and fan base, many people compare the Dewa era with Ari Lasso and the Dewa era with Once. However, what is the relationship between Ari Lasso and Once themselves?

1. Once Best Friend Ari Lasso

At that time, Raffi Ahmad and Nagita Slavina visited Ari Lasso's house. When collaborating on their latest YouTube video, Raffi asked about the relationship between Ari Lasso and Once. 

"Hey, Mas Ari. Are you close with Once? Who is the closest to Dewa?" Raffi Ahmad asked as quoted on the RANS Entertainment YouTube channel, Monday (23/3). 

"We're all close, Once is very close," Ari Lasso replied firmly. 

Still curious, Raffi asked Ari again if he and Once competed to be the best when they were singers in Dewa.

"Don't you feel like competing with him?" Raffi asked again.

"No. He is one of my best friends," Ari Lasso replied. 

2. Taking Turns Singing in Dewa

Furthermore, Ari Lasso said that both he and Once often take turns singing with Dewa. As is known, Dewa itself is still one of the bands that does not have a permanent vocalist. 

"If I can, then it's me. Or it depends on the client's request. If the client wants Once's version, then I'll do it. If they want Ari Lasso's version, then I'll do it," said Ari Lasso.
