One of the members of the idol group JKT48, Freya, has taken decisive legal action after becoming a victim of digital technology abuse. The person whose real name is Raden Roro Freyanashifa Jayawardana went to the South Jakarta Metro Police to report anonymous accounts that manipulated her photo.

The police confirmed that the report was received at the beginning of February. This report was made due to allegations of irresponsible actions in the form of electronic data manipulation that harmed the artist's reputation.

"Yes, I can confirm that we from the South Jakarta Police have received the report, which was made on February 5, 2024, under the name of the reporter RRFJ," said the public relations officer of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Murodih, on Wednesday (11/3/2026).

Based on the incoming reports, this case is closely related to violations of cyber laws. The police are applying the articles regarding data manipulation through electronic media as stipulated in the updated Electronic Information and Transactions Law (ITE).

"Then regarding the case, which I might convey, about data manipulation through electronic media, as referred to in Article 35 Jo Article 51 of Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning the ITE Law," explained AKBP Murodih.

The alleged digital crime did not occur in a short time, but has been ongoing for about two years. The police stated that the location of the incident or the place of the case is in the Kebayoran Lama area, South Jakarta.

"Then for the crime scene, this is on Jalan Mas Putih D49, Permata Hijau, Grogol Utara, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta. The incident occurred around the year 2022 to 2024, and the reported case is still under investigation," said AKBP Murodih.

The modus operandi used by the perpetrator was to edit Freya's face into inappropriate content, such as using certain uniforms and minimal clothing.

Freya feels greatly harmed because the perpetrator made it seem as though the content was her original photo, which was then spread through accounts on social media.

"It started when the victim saw a post that was not managed by the account owner, which contained several words that the victim found inappropriate. That is, the account @Grox told her to wear a bikini, then also replaced her face with a paramedic uniform, and then made the subject wear fake clothing while the camera zoomed in," concluded AKBP Murodih.
