Mulan began her journey in the music world by becoming a café singer and often collaborated with several local bands. Before joining Duo Ratu, Mulan had actually released two solo albums, but unfortunately, they did not manage to attract market attention. Her fortune began to change in 2005 when she was chosen to replace Pinkan Mambo in Duo Ratu.

Mulan herself was in fifth place in the Garut and Tasikmalaya district. After the election results were announced, she was declared not to have made it to Senayan, but her spirit remained undeterred.

The South Jakarta District Court granted this lawsuit, so Mulan was officially inaugurated as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2019-2024 period. They asked the Gerindra Party to appoint these 14 individuals as legislative members, with the defendants being the Board of Trustees and the Central Leadership Council (DPP) of the Gerindra Party.
