Gading Marten Opens Soosoo Coffee Shop, Long-Time Dream and Retirement Savings as an Actor

Not satisfied with just his career in the entertainment industry, now the father of one child is trying his hand at business. Gading chose the coffee business that he has long dreamed of.

To realize his dream, Gading inaugurated his latest coffee business called Soosoo at Ruko New Castle Blok B No. 32, Green Lake City, Tangerang. He built the Soosoo coffee business together with his friend, Jerry.

1. Coffee Lover

"So, I am indeed a coffee lover. I always have coffee every morning, even several times a day. Coffee for me is for enhancing my mood. If I want to hang out with friends, we have coffee. So, I always have coffee, but why should I have coffee at someone else's place? Why don't we make it ourselves," said Gading Marten at Green Lake City, Tangerang, not long ago.

Gading Marten admitted that he had planned to open a coffee business for a long time. In fact, a coffee business has been Gading Marten's long-standing dream that has not been achieved yet.

"Actually, it has been a long-standing dream, but I wanted to have several ideas, you know, like creating a hangout place for millennials, and finally, after discussing it, we made this. Well, if the name Soosoo means milk, because it is based on milk," he said.

2. Retirement Savings

Gading Marten said that the business he built, Soosoo, will be used as a provision for when he no longer participates in the entertainment world. He is aware that the entertainment industry in the country is now filled with actresses or actors who have great talent.

"True (for retirement). What I mean is, we, who are in front of the screen, earn money from endorsements. So if there are no endorsements, we're unemployed. The more we grow up, the more young waves there are. There are more young people, smarter, cooler, that's what we should think about," said Gading Marten.

"There is no such thing as starting too late and we must dare, not just talk about it. As my dad always says, be a pipe person, not a bucket person. If a bucket is filled with water and the water runs out, it's gone. But if a pipe has a little water, it keeps flowing," concluded Gading Marten.
