Get Two Months and 15 Days Remission, Pablo Benua and Galih Ginanjar Released From Prison

Kapanlagi.com - The latest news comes from the Ikan Asin case involving Galih Ginanjar and Pablo Benua. Now, both of them have been released from Cipinang Detention Center thanks to remission or reduction of their detention period.

"Galih Ginanjar and Pablo Benua were released from Cipinang Detention Center in Jakarta on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. After checking the completeness of the documents and the validity of the data, the two prisoners have met the administrative and substantive requirements to obtain remission," as stated in a written statement by Rika Aprianti, the Head of Public Relations and Protocol of the Directorate General of Correctional Institutions, Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

1. Undergoing Assimilation

Galih Ginanjar and Pablo Benua received a remission of two months and fifteen days based on the decision letter with the number PAS-149.PK.01.01.02. Afterwards, they are required to undergo assimilation process for the prevention and handling of Covid-19.

"(Galih and Pablo) are undergoing assimilation at home based on Minister of Law and Human Rights Regulation No. 10 of 2020 regarding the Requirements for Assimilation and Integration Rights for Prisoners and Children in the Context of Prevention and Handling of Covid-19," he added.

2. Rey Utami Released First

As known, Galih Ginanjar and married couple Pablo Benua and Rey Utami were detained for uploading an interview video on Reyben Entertainment's YouTube channel. Feeling that the content of the video was discrediting his name, artist Fairuz A Rafiq immediately filed a police report regarding Galih's statement about Ikan Asin.

Rey Utami was released earlier after being detained for one year and four months. He admitted that the experience behind bars taught him many things for a better future.
