Getting to Know Alif Barra Pratama, a 12-Year-Old Handsome Boy with a High Leadership Spirit Since Early Age

Alif, as he is affectionately called, is the son of one of the pioneers of aesthetic dermatology, Dr. Ayu Widyaningrum Master of AAMS, Master of IBAMS, and Edwin AM, SH, MM.

Since childhood, Alif has been educated to take responsibility for himself. In addition, he is also required to demonstrate achievements and abilities, both intellectually and spiritually, balanced by good manners. These three things will shape a person's high leadership qualities. So it is not surprising that Alif has shown a high leadership spirit since a young age.

Alif demonstrates his leadership spirit and responsibility by becoming the Class President at his school, specifically at SD Mitra Kasih School, Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. Alif admits that being a leader has its own challenges.

"Yes, there are both joys and sorrows in being a leader. The joy is that I can manage the class and advise my friends to behave well. The sorrow is when there are friends who cannot be advised and are stubborn," Arif said.

1. A Good Leader in His Class

Currently, Alif is only 12 years old. Although still very young, his leadership skills have already developed. According to him, a leader should be able to influence others to behave well.

"I want to be a good leader and set a good example for my friends," said the boy born in Banjarmasin on January 13, 2012.

Alif also learns many things as a young leader. He learns to be responsible and lead well. "I learn how to uphold unity and maintain and develop existing things," he added.

In addition to being a leader, Alif, who attends Mitra Kasih School in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, is also an accomplished student, both academically and non-academically, especially in sports, namely basketball. Therefore, he also has a desire to share his achievements as well as his hobby in the field of sports.

"I want to learn and instill the values of Pancasila in life and use social media as a platform to spread love for the homeland. To preserve the unity of the nation and the country," Alif continued.

2. Discipline Since Early Age

In addition to responsibility, Alif is also educated to live a disciplined life, such as studying and waking up early. He always takes the time to learn and fill his spare time by seeking new things to develop his potential.

"I certainly have to take responsibility in school by studying diligently and also exercising regularly. I also get used to waking up early so that discipline is created and become a disciplined individual," added Alif, who is in the sixth grade.

Alif also applies discipline in the use of technology and social media. "The current millennial generation is more active in using technology. They utilize technology to facilitate all activities. That's why I learn to be disciplined in using social media wisely," said the eldest of five siblings.

One of Alif's desires is to achieve success at a young age. However, Alif knows that hard work and studying harder are needed to achieve success.

"I always motivate myself to create better results and focus on what I want to achieve," said Alif, who is busy with school, tutoring, and sometimes playing games.

3. Hobby of Traveling

Who would have thought, amidst his parents' busyness, Alif is still able to walk and travel to various countries in the world. Since the age of 8, Alif has visited various countries, such as Dubai, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, Korea, Turkey, and Malaysia. Alif has even performed the Umrah pilgrimage to Mecca.

"I really want to be able to travel around the world. In the future, I want to visit more countries. Hopefully, this year I can go to Universal Studios and Disneyland in the United States," Alif hopes.

Not only traveling, Alif admitted that there are many things he can see and lessons he can learn. He can get to know the character of the people in the countries he visits. His favorite countries are Singapore, Dubai, and Japan.

"All three countries are clean and famous. The people are also friendly. Dubai has a nice and clean mall. Singapore is clean and very modern. I also like Universal Studios because it's spacious and the food is delicious," he concluded.
