The family of Glenn Fredly has issued an official statement regarding the sad news. They also revealed the illness Glenn suffered from before his passing.

In an official statement, Glenn Fredly's family mentioned that the musician passed away due to the meningitis illness he suffered from.

"We, the family, convey our deep condolences for the passing of our son, brother, relative, friend, and companion to all, Glenn Fredly, whose full name is Glenn Fredly Deviano Latuihamallo, on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at 18:47, at Setia Mitra Hospital, Cilandak, South Jakarta, as a result of meningitis," they expressed.

2. Carried on Activities as Usual

Furthermore, the family also mentioned that Glenn Fredly did complain about his illness. However, at that time, the late musician was still able to carry on activities as usual.

"He did complain about his illness some time ago, but he was still able to carry on activities as usual. In the last month, Glenn started to feel uncomfortable with the illness he suffered from, so he decided to undergo hospitalization. Although his condition declined during the last three days, he could still interact until finally taking his last breath on April 8, 2020," they continued.

3. Requesting Prayers

Through this written statement, the family of Glenn Fredly also requests prayers for the deceased.

"Through this written statement, we, the family, request prayers from fellow musicians, relatives, friends, and the entire Indonesian community for the late Glenn Fredly and forgive any mistakes he has made, whether intentional or unintentional and, without diminishing respect, we hope that mourners will not attend the funeral procession due to the current situation and conditions.
