Gofar Hilman Sexual Harassment Case Victims Increase, LBH APIK Opens Support Post

Kapanlagi.com - Allegations of sexual harassment committed by Gofar Hilman have a long-lasting impact. After being exposed by the woman who owns the Twitter account @quweenjojo some time ago, it turns out that the number of victims claiming to have been sexually harassed by Gofar Hilman has increased.

This was reported again by the @quweenjojo account on Friday evening (18/06/2021). In her tweet, @quweenjojo stated that several victims have reported the incidents they experienced to LBH APIK Jakarta and will receive legal assistance.

Through a press release received by the Kapanlagi.com team on Saturday (19/06/2021), LBH APIK Jakarta confirmed this. LBH APIK Jakarta and SAFEnet greatly appreciate the victims who have been strong and brave enough to speak up, which has sparked the voices of other victims, as has been done by the Twitter account @quweenjojo.

"As of June 17, 2021, LBH APIK Jakarta has received 8 complaints related to sexual harassment cases involving public figure GH, including a complaint from the owner of the Twitter account @quweenjojo. Seeing that there may still be victims who are afraid to speak up, LBH APIK Jakarta and SAFEnet, along with the victims in solidarity, have opened a complaint post for other victims who want to speak up," they wrote in the press release.

1. To Provide Safe Space for Victims

The complaint center itself is intended to provide a safe space for victims, including legal assistance, psychological counseling to address the victims' trauma, and digital security if needed. LBH APIK Jakarta and SAFEnet promise to protect the identity and safety of the victims, unless the victims themselves are willing to share their stories publicly.

The complaint center has been open since June 18, 2021. Victims of sexual harassment cases committed by Gofar Hilman can file complaints through the email aduankorban.gh@awaskbgo.id or via Instagram https://instagram.com/aduankorban.gh.

2. Ready for Legal Cases

In response to this case, Gofar Hilman, through his social media account, denies the allegations and states that he is ready to resolve the case legally.

"This is very concerning to us, LBH APIK Jakarta and SAFEnet, because victims of sexual violence often face extraordinary challenges in processing their cases legally, including the burden of proving that the sexual violence did occur while the perpetrators often enjoy the privilege of 'innocent until proven guilty'," wrote LBH APIK Jakarta.

3. Ready for Legal Cases

In response to this case, Gofar Hilman, through his social media account, denies the accusation and states that he is ready to resolve this case legally.
