Going Down the Street, Miss Tourism World Indonesia 2019 Distributes Hundreds of Groceries

Kapanlagi.com - Miss Tourism World Indonesia 2019, Ayu Jasmine distributed hundreds of groceries to the people on Jalan Kebahagiaan, Gajah Mada, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (16/4/2020). Through this action, Ayu Jasmine wants to help people who are still working on the streets because they have no other option due to economic pressures amid the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

"My team and I took the initiative to distribute them on the streets, and we distributed around 200 packages," said Ayu Jasmine, in Central Jakarta, on Thursday (16/4/2020).

1. Delayed for a While

Actually, this action has been planned since the Covid-19 outbreak entered Indonesia in early March 2020. However, the action was only carried out this month.

"Actually, the intention has been there since the beginning of this pandemic. Finally, we took to the streets directly, last night we went shopping, we immediately moved," he said.

2. A Feeling of Emotion

Ayu Jasmine admitted feeling very touched when directly distributing assistance to people who are still working amidst the pandemic. According to her, they looked happy when they received aid packages containing rice, instant noodles, oil, and sugar.

"It's really touching, especially seeing workers like those at the station," she said.

3. Sharing Groceries Again

After this, Ayu Jasmine has planned to distribute groceries again amidst the pandemic. She wants to distribute thousands of grocery packages to the underprivileged community.

"I really want to distribute again, but next time I want to involve my family so that we can have a bigger capital and distribute more. Maybe we can distribute around 1000 packages," Ayu Jasmine concluded.
