Kapanlagi.com - A beauty pageant initiated by renowned Indonesian designer, Ivan Gunawan, namely Miss Mega Bintang Indonesia (previously known as Miss Grand Indonesia) will return in 2024. In its first edition in 2023, Miss Mega Bintang Indonesia successfully attracted enthusiasm from pageant lovers worldwide.

For the 2024 edition, Miss Mega Bintang Indonesia officially partnered with Vidio as the OTT platform that will broadcast the entire event, from the Preliminary round to the Grand Final of Miss Mega Bintang Indonesia 2024.

1. Miss Mega Star Indonesia 2024 Brings participants from 15 Provinces in Indonesia

This year, Miss Mega Star Indonesia 2024 is participated by 50 contestants from 15 provinces in Indonesia. As the event initiator, Ivan Gunawan is involved in the selection process to improve the quality of participants every year.

The regional selection for Miss Mega Star Indonesia 2024 was conducted in 13 provinces from December 2023 - April 2024. Meanwhile, for the other two regions, Jakarta and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), they were directly selected through central auditions by the Mega Star Foundation.

“I am looking for finalists with improved quality in several provinces. I want the winner of Miss Mega Star Indonesia to have the potential to represent Indonesia in international events and show the world that Indonesian representatives can compete on the world stage,” said Ivan Gunawan.

2. The theme raised this year is the Beauty of Indonesian Culture.

The cultural parade begins with the Culture Parade Fashion Show Miss Mega Bintang Indonesia 2024, which will feature a collection of Iwan Tirta Batik collaborating with four Indonesian designers, namely Ivan Gunawan, Deden Siswanto, Julianto, and Maison Baaz Couture. After that, there will be a Culture Festive session in the preliminary and Grand Final rounds. In these last two rounds, all finalists will perform in their traditional costumes presented in a more modern and relaxed manner.
