Gritte Agatha's 'No Hassle' Holiday in Australia, Focused on Culinary Adventures Rather Than Tourism

Actress and content creator Gritte Agatha recently shared her experience after enjoying a holiday with her husband, Arif Hidayat, and their child. Australia was the chosen destination for this small family to take a break from their routine in Jakarta.

Gritte revealed the reason why she chose the Land of Kangaroos as her destination. Apparently, the 28-year-old woman yearned for a new, cooler atmosphere, different from the usual holiday destinations she visits. "I just wanted to try it. And I wanted a new vibe, usually going to Singapore which might be hot," she said during a conversation when met at Plaza Senayan, Central Jakarta, some time ago.

Gritte added that her visit was perfectly timed as Australia was entering a cooler season. "And there was a bit of cold too, heading towards winter. So I wanted to try it," she continued.

Interestingly, Gritte and Arif apply a very relaxed and flexible vacation style. She admits to spending more time at the hotel to rest rather than exploring the city from morning until night.

"Actually, when I go on vacation, especially with my husband, I’m really very relaxed. So I can spend more time at the hotel than going out," explained Gritte.

This vacation style makes them feel more relaxed, where outdoor activities only start around noon. "So we might leave the hotel around 10, 11. Then at 2, 3 we stop back at the hotel to rest, and only go out again at night," she said.

Instead of visiting many iconic tourist spots, Gritte is actually more enthusiastic about exploring the culinary world in Melbourne. For her, hunting for delicious food becomes the main agenda during the vacation.

"I really just eat, eat, eat. And when I go to those places, I tend to go to the ones I'm used to... So I actually explore the food more. There are so many delicious foods there," she explained.

Specifically, Gritte admitted to being very impressed with the meat dishes there. She felt it was a must to try the steak directly from its country of origin.

"Eee, the meat. Because when we buy steak or anything, it's 'Made in Australia'. So, I tried the 'Made in Australia'. It was delicious," she concluded enthusiastically.
