In a viral video, Guntur is seen chatting with fans when a mother approaches him and expresses her dislike for the evil characters he often portrays.
The woman stated that these antagonist roles have a negative influence, especially on the children who watch them.
Guntur, who appeared shocked by the reaction, tried to explain that the antagonist role is part of acting and aims to provide conflict in the story.
"From the perspective of playing it, it's definitely more enjoyable to be a protagonist character," said Guntur as quoted by detikhot, on Tuesday (5/11/2024).
"There were a few times when I played an ustaz. Suddenly wearing a peci, wearing a koko shirt. Just as we were starting. Action," concluded Guntur.
"Someone already yelled from the back. Even though the crew had already become friends on set. They were all yelling that it was inappropriate, not fitting, things like that," he continued.
